Warehouse safety through use of colours

The human brain automatically projects meaning to colours. International research has been conducted on this subject. Based on the results of this research, norms have been established in regard to the meaning of colours as information carriers. To improve safety in your warehouse we recommend that these norms be used. After all, people in your warehouse will interpret the meanings of the colours intuitively.

Warehouse safety through use of colours

Application for warehouse safety

By accounting for the meaning of colours when arranging your warehouse, safety can be optimised. The (barcode) labels, signs and floor markings are available in different colours, printed or unprinted.

Readability

Also take into account that for good readability the contrast between the colour of the text and the background colour should be at least 70%. Watch the presentation below for examples.
