APPLICATION

Can be used indoors as a primer that attracts magnets. Can be painted over in any color or design.

Can also be used behind wallpaper. This may cause the magnetic force to decrease slightly, depending on the thickness of the wallpaper used.

DESCRIPTION

Safe, lead-free, water-based acrylic latex paint that contains iron.

COLOR

Dark grey, but can be painted over in any color.

PAINTING SURFACE

Prepare the surface as you would with regular wall paint. Make the surface as flat as possible. Avoid any surfaces that are uneven or highly absorbent. For wooden, MDF, absorbent, lacquered, or smooth surfaces, apply a primer or adhesive agent first. Apply a wall covering to the surface first if the MagneticPaint needs to be removed later on.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Stir well; dilute with no more than 5% water. Use MagneticPaint at room temperature. You can paint over it after 4 hours. Three layers are usually sufficient for most magnets. For extra strength, apply a fourth layer and/or use extra-strong magnets. Multiple/thicker layers enhance the magnetic strength. Leave to dry for 24 hours before applying the finishing coat. When in doubt, create a test surface and try out some magnets.

NOTE: weak magnets do not work properly. The strongest types of magnets are steel neodymium magnets (these can also be used with plastic covers on them).

TOOLS

Short-nap paint roller. After use, clean with soap and water.

TIP FOR PAINT FINISH

For a smooth surface, sand lightly (apply extra-thick layers of paint first) or smooth out each layer with a spatula or squeegee. Paint over the area with the desired color or apply a wall covering over it.
